Coccidiosis is one of the most damaging and persistent parasitic diseases in intensive livestock farming. The oocysts of Eimeria spp. and Cryptosporidium can survive for months or even years in livestock housing environments, are resistant to standard disinfectants and embed themselves deep within the pores of concrete and wood. The same applies to Ascaris suum eggs (roundworm eggs) in pigs.

The chitinous wall of oocysts is extremely resistant. Ordinary cresol or quaternary ammonium compounds do not penetrate it sufficiently. Aldecoc® CMK contains DMSO as a penetration enhancer: a substance that reduces the membrane permeability of oocyst walls, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate effectively and inactivate the parasite. DVG tests confirm 99.99% inactivation of Cryptosporidium oocysts at a 2% concentration.

An effective biosecurity policy — particularly during periods when premises are unoccupied between production cycles — therefore requires a disinfectant that goes beyond standard bactericidal action.

A single product for the complete disinfection protocol — from viruses to the most resistant parasitic organisms.

Contact time: 30–120 minutes, depending on the target organism — always refer to the label for exact instructions. Recommended application temperature: 10–20 °C. A minimum temperature of 20 °C is required for effective action against endoparasites.

Packaging and storage

Available in a 10-litre jerrycan (approx. 10.7 kg). Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect from frost and temperatures above 50 °C. Dispose of the product and packaging in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
