Intra Hydrocare is a comprehensive cleaning agent for drinking water systems (storage tanks, pipes, nipples, towers, etc.). The product can be used in both empty and occupied livestock housing. Hydrocare cleans and disinfects, is virtually non-corrosive and does not affect the taste or smell of the water. It removes organic contaminants and manganese deposits.

Contaminated drinking water has a direct impact on the health, welfare and performance of animals. The addition of medicines, vaccines and nutritional supplements to the drinking water creates a biofilm, resulting in organic contamination of the drinking water. Biofilm acts as a breeding ground for pathogenic micro-organisms. There are many pathogens transmitted via the drinking water system, such as E. coli, Salmonella, the avian influenza virus and the African swine fever virus. Once such a pathogen is present in the drinking water system, it can rapidly infect the entire population, as the pathogens are consumed directly.
